Reciprocal Link Option Appears To Be A Waste Of Time

Out of all the submissions as "reciprocal", 0 (ZERO) have offered PR (or the potential of it). Why is this? Not just because the page has a PR of zero it also has a future potential of zero as it is not linked to on the site (therefore not findable by Google), never mind the main page…

Or the backlink was not even there… (!)

It has shown me that it’s quite easy to get around the reciprocal requirement that a lot of free directories end up having without having your site filled with links, but I personally would not use this tactic.

Quite possibly I’ll disable the reciprocal linking option for my directory anyway as it appears to have zero purpose.
