My Buddy Chris

My buddy Chris has to be the coolest American I know. Actually, he’s one of the few Americans I actually like; after 3.5 years dealing with Americans each week day while I was working in technical support, my opinion of them declined immsensely as I found them to be incredibly annoying and rude.

However, after chatting with Chris, I found him to be a very interesting, articulate and funny guy … who certainly has a great way with words (and so does one of his co-workers)! Has this changed my mind about Americans? Well, maybe… but what I do know for sure is that I’ve made a great friend.

Definitely the guy has a great mind for online businesses, I aspire to have his creativity and success one day… I’ll let you try to figure out his success is and the methods to it by reading his very interesting blog.

I’ve Finally Got A New Job

After applying for many jobs each day I finally got lucky and have a new job to start on April 2! :-) Coincidentally, it’s also the week following my final day at the company I currently work for, so (hopefully - anything can happen at the company I work for currently) I’ve scored myself a new job plus some redundancy money…

It has been a long and stressful time over the past few months, but finally I can relax and spend more time on the fun things in life. :D

Helping One’s Self

In life, we often find ourselves in a situation where we need to help ourselves and are unable to reply upon others (in particular, work colleagues who might want to use the information to their own advantage), whether it’s financial decisions (often very challenging these days as companies can be so in-your-face and try thrusting their services down your throat, promising a lot of what is actually nothing), coping with stress, motivating ourselves not only to set goals but also meet them, or managing our time effectively. We’ve all been there and had those problems (or are having them!).

Even those of us with a loving and wonderful partner who is very supportive will have found ourselves in the past (or even in the present) in a situation we’re having difficulty resolving. These are times when we need some independent advice to read through and consider. This is the beauty of the Internet - there are many blogs, advice and article sites such as Self Help out there providing third party, impartial advice and information on a wide range of topics.

And remember - when reading something like a blog or article site we’re often learning from other’s experiences, it’s not a marketing booklet sent to you by a company trying to sell their services, but usually experiences taken from people’s daily lives and passed on by these people in the hope it will help others.

While it might not have all the answers, it’s a starting point which may help you deal with your anger about your predicament and point you in the right direction of a solution. Or for fun, you could try out the "anger test" on your boss (or if he/she is not annoying, then a co-worker who is - there’s always one, especially the loud mouth back-stabber crawling their way up the company ladder!).

Feng Shui - Be Positive And Feel The Energy Flow

When you say Feng Shui (which is in fact pronounced “fung shway”) someone might automatically thing you mean Chinese food, but in fact it is a set of rules which help organise one’s environment in a positive manner. The practise began in ancient China but has also reached other parts of the world, too, and gained in popularity as people want to improve their luck, life and business.

Following the information at Feng Shui Decorating Tips will help you improve your Qi (or also spelt Ch’i and Chi, and can be loosely translated to mean “energy flow”) in a positive manner and only a few simple steps are required.

There are free tips available on several topics, such as Feng Shui Office so make sure next time you see your boss that you at least ask for a few potted plants to help improve your positive energy and improve your job performance dramatically, of course. ;-) And no, money trees do not really grow money off their branches. :P The site also has tips on Feng Shui in the bedroom, which of course is a very important place for you and your loved one. It appears that my loved one and I will need to make several changes before our bedroom is Feng Shui compatible, especially to clear out my “stuff” (read: Linux magazines, books and other items I never sorted through after moving in … 5 years ago, hehehe) from under the bed.

For those of you, like me, who want to know more there is a detailed ebook available which will help to turn your life in to a Feng Shui Life and quite possibly improve it in several ways. Some may say Feng Shui is superstition however it has gained in such popularity that there must certainly be something to it. At the end the end of the day, when we’re positive about ourselves it shows and leaves a good impression with others. There’s no harm in trying it out and at $14.99 it’s not going to break the bank.

Blog Neglect Again

Unfortunately, I have neglected my blog yet again… the past few months have been very busy, especially December as I spent Christmas in Poland. That was different, shall we say. Some experiences were very good, others incredibly bad.

Work is still a nightmare and my future is uncertain still. I wonder for how long this will drag on for? I just hope that I get a new job sooner rather than later.

Time to live my day… here’s hoping that there is no neglect yet again!
