Spoilers are within, so if you have not yet seen Season 3, or are not yet up to Episode 15/16/17 then you may not want to read on…
Anyway, for those of you who are staying I will tell you why I believe Grey’s Anatomy sucks..
I previously enjoyed the show a lot, especially the first two seasons, however Episode 17 of Season 3 really does epitomise the ridiculousness that it has reached. Grey’s Anatomy was never really a scientific medical drama of House’s calibre but rather a soap opera filled with sex, complicated relationships and human failing … yet still the ability to keep on at life at the end of the day.
However, after Meredith’s amazing recovery, it has rather become a mediocre science fiction show (I was hoping Mulder and Scully would suddenly appear with an explanation of why Miss Grey survived… never mind) with about the same quality as those Australian exports Home And Away and Neighbours. It’s quite unbelievable that her heart was stopped all this time, no oxygen to her brain, yet she has recovered perfectly fine.
If you want to watch a great medical drama then I highly recommend House (and not just because the lead actor is English) as it is more about the science and less about the ridiculous.
