Magnificent Manchester United

It is only at the end of the season that I finally write again about football… and what a great season it has been.

As I previously predicted, this season was a lot closer than the last one. It has been gripping and there were times Chelsea could have got ahead of Manchester United, however they failed to do so and at a great cost [of the title] in the end.

Man. United have played great football almost each game. Along the way Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes have shown that they are still two of the best players in the Premiership.

Now there is only the FA Cup final left and with Chelsea vs. Manchester United it’s sure to be a hot-tempered game, but also an entertaining one (hopefully entertaining because Man. United score a lot of goals).

Surely next season will be an exciting one again. Teams such as Reading, Portsmouth and Bolton are challenging for European places against the so-called big teams and Bolton’s case they beat teams such as Aston Villa and Newcastle United to it this season, it should be very interesting to see what these teams achieve for next season.

I just hope that Manchester United can retain the title and Middlesbrough manage a bit better than 12 next season. But we all know what ‘Boro are like - short runs where they’re performing well and then (usually about half way through the season) they start faltering and hover around the relegation zone. :D LOL!
