Andy McNab’s latest book, Crossfire, is shortly to be released. In fact, it will be available from November 3, 2007, and is one book I am eagerly anticipating (along with many other people, I’m sure). 
Crossfire places the stories hero, Nick Stone, in Basra (Iraq) as bodyguard for a TV crew. It’s dangerous times and during an insurgent attack Nick, the man hired to protect people, is the one saved by a reporter. Mysteriously, though, the reporter disappears shortly after the attack and curiously Nick’s old masters, the intelligence service, ask Nick to find him. What interest could SIS have in a reporter?
The search leads Stone to travel to several countries and finally ending up in Kabul. This is where things take a bad turn and Nick suddenly becomes the hunted. Will Stone survive, or will he die in the Crossfire?
Like every book Andy McNab writes, it is sure to be a page-turner and perhaps one I should leave for a day off work as I know I won’t be able to put it down until I’ve reach the end. Fortunately, it’s also currently available for half-price at Amazon – that’s right, £9.49 for the hardback, which is a bargain when compared to waiting several months for the paperback copy (which will be released in June 2008).
